About Us

Lauren is the founder and owner of Light the Way Learning, LLC. Light the Way Learning was started with the passion to help students grow in their educational journey, giving learners necessary skills to help make their futures bright. Lauren believes that every child has the ability to reach their full potential, lighting the way and eventually leading others to their full potential, making the future brighter. 

Lauren is a former classroom teacher with experience teaching second and third graders. Lauren also has experience working with students Kindergarten- Fifth grade. In her teaching career, she saw the joy in children’s faces as they accomplished what they never thought was possible!

Lauren graduated from Winthrop University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education. She is a certified teacher in the state of South Carolina. Lauren continues to research and practice the best teaching methods that are currently and statically proven to show growth.  

Lauren enjoys doing crafts, being outside, traveling, walking, skiing and spending time with her husband and precious baby boy!
